With new beginnings comes change. After using a blog for my C&G students annual verification I have decided to start a new blog and will from time to time report on things that are going on. Maybe an exhibition I’ve seen, a workshop I’ve participated in, or just bits and bobs about whatever comes to mind. This image is a detail of one of my pieces, a digitally printed length of crepe de chine with added organdie printed images and hand stitch.

One thing that has been keeping me busy since the start of the year is the Textile Study Group exhibition DIS/rupt which opened this week in Stroud as part of the SIT select festival. It has been over two years in the planning but I am going down to see it at the start of the week and will report back. Information about DIS/rupt can be found here TSG  and information about the symposium and the workshops that are running during the exhibition can be found here SIT select 2017

Here is Ruth Issett holding the piece at the exhibition hanging.

So off to Stroud next week and I’ll report back on my return.

It is certainly a plan that it will be seen North of the border.

Looking good Sheila. Would love to see some details of your work. As you know, we are in St Kitts and Nevis for 3 weeks. Absolutely glorious. Now that I have got me eyesight back, I will get down to some work based on my Kilner jar. I am taking part in a pop up exhibition in Kirriemuir at the end of May. Details to follow. Anyway, we’ll done on DIS/rupt. Love Pauline x
