It is surely a sign to note, when time seems to pass quickly and the months are gone in the blink of an eye. It hardly seems any time since I was planning a trip to Stroud, Gloucestershire, exactly this time last year, to see the Textile Study Group exhibition DIS/rupt and my two pieces If Not Now…1 and 2. It was a lovely trip and exciting to be part of such a prestigious exhibition – I’ve posted some photographs in this blog from that time. Since then DIS/rupt has been in Oldham Gallery where the visitors as well as gallery staff were very enthusiastic about all the work. It is currently showing in the Minerva Arts Centre, home of the Quilt Association in mind Wales but next month it comes to Scotland!!! Yes, from 9th June for two months DIS/rupt will be at the Tweeddale Museum, Peebles. There is a programme of workshops led by Alison King, Mary Sleigh and Julia Triston but for full information about the gallery, opening times and workshops contact the Museum.
More information to follow over next few weeks…….
